Prasad 6pm, Program 7pm, Arati 8:30pm
Janmashtami is the annual celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna, a divine incarnation. His flute songs by the banks of the Jamuna River called devotees away from worldly pursuits to the divine search within.
6pm: Prasad (sacred food offering) in the Yoga Studio.
7pm: Journey through Krishna's life in three phases: as the young playful cowherd, the beloved of the Gopis, and as the supreme Guru guiding Arjuna during the battle of Mahabharata. Through chants, stories, songs, and meditations, tune into Krishna's love and wisdom, and his presence amongst us now.
8:30pm: A grand arati and sharing of prasad (blessed food offered at the altar).
We request participants not to bring any food offerings, but flowers are welcome. If you wish to, dress in celebratory Indian clothes.
